The Metrel Mi3152 raises the bar for electricians multifunction testers. We take a closer look at some of the unique features which make this unit stand out compared to traditional-style circuit testers from brands such as Megger, Fluke and Kewtech.
The Mi3152 includes all of the features you'd expect on an MFT from insulation tester to RCD tests. It's the user interface which really sets the Mi3152 apart. We see it as moving from an old Nokia phone to an iPhone. (younger viewers won't remember the classic Nokia 3152, legendry battery life and its grey LCD screen)
As the electrical world becomes more complicated, the needs of a tester need to evolve to reflect this. The 18th edition of BS7671 means electricians' are more likely to see surge protection, EV chargers an expanded range of RCD types in electrical installations.
