five-time BJP MP had been jailed for 11 days by the Mulayam government, an ordeal that made him cry in the Parliament. Yogi Adityanath was jailed for violating prohibitory orders in Gorakhpur. Describing his ordeal, the parliamentarian broke down in front of the house. When Speaker Somnath Chatterjee asked him to speak, he talked about a ‘political conspiracy’ that led to his arrest. An emotional Adityanath said he wanted ‘justice’, and that if the House ‘couldn’t protect him’ he would quit.
