She’s a hot mess, but you can’t help loving her. Idealistic yet cynical. Sassy and insecure. Friendly but friendless. Well, almost friendless.

The one thing Friday wants most of all is to be an actress — she aspires to a prettier existence, one that allows her a few of life’s little luxuries and fills the void left by an absent father.

So, Friday makes the rounds on her beat-up Vespa — classes, casting calls, auditions. She’s got the chops but can’t catch a break. She’s always too fat or too thin. Cute but not pretty. Pretty but not beautiful. Not enough experience. Never enough experience.

The irony is that Friday’s day job has her acting all the time! As she chases her dream, Friday struggles to pay her bills (including an obscenely large shoe tab) by working for a rent-a-pal agency.
