Evolution of the 10 Most Popular Champions in Marvel Contest of Champions (2014-2024)

I've been working on this for over a month now, it took way more work than I initially expected.  

I assigned a numeric value to a champion's popularity in MCOC based on a special algorithm I created to calculate for a champions desirability (i.e. crystals opened and community reaction), usability (i.e. times used in fights in general questing, alliance war, alliance quest, or battlegrounds), and roster positioning (i.e. how many rankups of a character are made and what average levels of a character are in a given roster).  

I thought this was cool to see because over time you can see the shift in metas as we go through different events like the initial game launch, the 12.0 update, Labyrinth of Legends, Abyss of Legends, Battlegrounds Release, Necropolis, and of course all of the amazing new champions that have been added to the game over time.  

Please keep in mind that these are not necessarily the 10 most powerful champions in the game at all times, but the 10 most popular.  There are over 250+ characters in Marvel Contest of Champions and a lot of them are REALLY great, but there can only be ten shown in this bar chart race.  I had fun putting this together, I hope you enjoy!
