Welcome to my guide to winning the GT Cup Gr.3 Race around Suzuka on Gran Turismo 7.

GUIDE UPDATED FOR PATCH 1.48

This is an updated guide, since my last video for this race a few settings have been changed and it’s now a BoP (Balance of Performance) race. You cannot make any tuning changes to the car and you’re limited to the Racing Hard Tyres and Wet Tyres.
If they make changes to the BoP system in a new patch I will update the description of this video with a patch number and my recommendations or changes if necessary.

THIS RACE WAS COMPLETED ON HARD DIFFICULTY

The car I used for this race: McLaren 650S GT3 ‘15

Items I bought for this car from the Tuning Shop:
Racing Hard Tyres

STRATEGY: No strategy required, no pit stops, no fuel saving. This race is a straight up 5 lap sprint race.

This race is relatively easy and straight forward because it doesn’t require any pit stops or fuel saving, just jump in be aggressive with your overtakes, have some fun and don’t make any mistakes, if you make a mistake or crash it might be easier to restart because you will have a hard time catching up to the leaders before the end of the race. Consistency is key, best advice I can give you is remain consistent and mistake free, once you can be consistent and race without any mistakes start working on improving on your pace from there.

The McLaren 650S GT3 ‘15 is almost a prefect fit for this track and race, it handles very well through the corners, and has decent straight line speed, compared to some of the other cars in Gr.3 the McLaren is a little bit slower in a straight line but more than makes it up for it through the corners. Sector 1 & 2 is where you will make up most of your time in this race.

My Brake Bias was set to 2 but this is personal preference. I recommend trying my settings but they might not work for you. Everyone has different driving styles and some settings that work for me may not work for you, I recommend messing around with the Brake Balance until you find a setting that works for you.

I have my Traction Control set to 1 but that’s personal preference, to stop the car from oversteering the lower gears you might want to put on some Traction Control or just get used to the car.

If you have any questions or are struggling with the strategy please comment below and I will do my best to help you.
