A total of 155 earthquakes hit Japan in a day triggering tsunami and causing widespread destruction. At least 30 people are feared dead and over a hundred are feared trapped. Rescuers are battling against time to find survivors. Noto peninsula in the Ishikawa prefecture saw some of the worst damage. The Ishikawa prefecture was hit by a 7.6 magnitude earthquake. The strong tremors flattened houses, toppled buildings and tore apart roads.
