After an epic cycling odyssey
After an epic cycling odyssey spanning 7000 kilometres, we reach Arev's hometown Yerevan, Armenia's capital. We traverse the diverse landscapes of Northern Armenia, navigate winding backroads, encounter the majestic beauty of Lake Sevan and have authentic conversations with locals along the way.
Our adventure begins amidst the serene Arevatsag Canyon, where grazing pigs made the only noises. Pedaling from lush but rugged terrain, breathtaking mountain passes, along the huge high altitude Lake Sevan, through dry and golden rolling hills, we witness the breathtaking natural scenery that Northern Armenia has to offer.
As we journey onward, we share the road with fellow cyclists, exchanging stories and forging bonds that enrich our experience. Charming villages and verdant countryside provide a backdrop to our adventure, offering glimpses into Armenia's rich cultural heritage.
After 6 months on the road, our journey reaches its first major milestone as we arrive in Yerevan. Coming closer we reflect on the memories made and the miles traveled, savoring the sense of accomplishment that comes with completing such a monumental cycling journey.
