Welcome to our channel! Today, we are reviewing the two tulip festivals, Abbotsford and the Chilliwack. Which one is the best?

The Tulip Festivals in British Columbia, Canada are annual events that celebrate the arrival of spring and the blooming of thousands of tulips in various locations across the province. The most well-known festival is the Abbotsford Tulip Festival, which takes place in mid-April to early May and features over 10 acres of vibrant tulip fields for visitors to admire and photograph. Other popular tulip festivals in British Columbia is the Chilliwack Tulip Festival which also offer breathtaking views of colorful tulips and other spring flowers. These festivals often include live music, food vendors, and other family-friendly activities, making them a fun and memorable way to welcome the arrival of spring in Canada.

Let's look at which one is the best.

In terms of flowers you can see in the field, Abbotsford showcases a huge 27 acre field with more than 5 million flowers of different varieties with vibrant colours than in Chilliwack.

Chilliwack has established lots of fun places in and around the tulip fields, including swings, old cars, bicycle, trucks, tractors, small church, flower towers, gigantic shoes, and an RV, whereas Abbotsford has only a few items such as swings, bicycle, photo frame, trucks, and so on. So if you have kids or if you need to have fun while looking at tulips, Chilliwack is the best place for that.

Chilliwack's location was easy to find and easy to get to the tulip field, while at Abbotsford, you might wonder if there are any tulips because you can’t see anything from the entrance. It has a long footpath and a bridge to cross before coming to the field. Only at the exit can you clearly see the whole field.

Chilliwack was very informative even at the entrance. They had established lots of things to get information about the process of tulip making and how tulips grow, and so on. Chilliwack is the best place for those who love to study about tulips. In contrast, Abbotsford had clear labels for all the flower varieties in the field.

If you need to buy souvenirs or flowers before leaving the festival, Chilliwack is the best place. They have arranged a nice farm shop with a collection of seeds, bulbs, cut flowers, and many other gift items.

Ticket price at Abbotsford was a little cheaper than Chilliwack. For both sites, when you book online in advance, you can get cheaper tickets. You can also get a “Season pass” for the whole year as you can visit other flower types such as sunflowers and lavenders, which have different blooming seasons and require good weather conditions. Free entry for infants: below 2 yrs at Chilliwack, below 3 yrs at Abbotsford. Check their websites;

Okay, now, which is the best tulip festival? Honestly, both are amazing! Abbotsford showcases lots of flowers with vibrant colours while Chilliwack serves you lots of ways to enjoy the trip! These locations are 10-15 minutes away from each other, so you can visit both places within the same tour! Kudos to all those farmers for their hard work and bringing us lots of happiness each year!
