- modifying a photo, then selecting and mixing colours before planning and executing the crucial first wash.
- negative painting; adding detail to petals and leaves.
- painting rose buds and adding shadows to flower petals
- flower stamens and final details
Materials used:
Winsor and Newton Artist’s watercolours: aureolin, raw sienna, burnt sienna, quinacridone gold, Winsor blue, cobalt blue, cobalt violet, permanent rose, Winsor violet (purple)
Surface: Arches 140lb cold pressed watercolour paper
Brushes: Rosemary and Co sable mix sizes 6, 8, 10, 12, 16. Rigger brush size 0
