Former Timmins mayor Jamie Lim explains how she got the new library built

On the occasion of the 100th Anniversary of the Timmins Public Library, July 10, 2024, former mayor Jamie Lim explains how a group of dedicated citizens helped get a modern new library built in the early 2000s. The move caused her to lose her seat, as many among the public objected to the expense. Built by Ano Architects, Inc. in 2005, the library features high ceilings and soaring timber columns and is described as a 'gem' by the Ontario Heritage Trust.
