Why Do Mobile Workstations Even Exist?!

Gaming laptops and hardware have come on a LONG way recently, they're now just as if not more powerful than mobile workstations... so who the heck even buys these things now?? Why would you want an Intel Xeon or a Nvidia Quadro when you can get a Core i9 or a GeForce with just as much power? After receiving the Dell Precision 7550, I ask myself the question and proceed to shout at myself about it.
