Over the course of three episodes, I will show you everything I have learnt so far with the Aerosoft CRJ for Microsoft Flight Simulator. It will apply to the CRJ550, CRJ700, CRJ900 and CRJ1000 for MSFS2020 of course with differences of speed, weights and fuselage length and inertia to consider! We start today at Stand 50 at Manchester Airport (EGCC) using the Macco Simulations add-on scenery for MSFS too. We will configure the aircraft from Cold & Dark (everything switched off) all the way through to Pushback and Engine Start! Throughout, I'll be showing you what I do during streams and my own flow - but remember to tune that Transponder before pushing back (as you'll see I forget and do it in Episode 2 just as we start to taxi!). ALSO, for hydraulics, it's best advised to push them forwards/down so Hydraulics 1, 3B and 2 are AUTO and 3A is On - but what I did setting all to the On position is also fine. No Simbrief flight plan import today either - we're doing it properly and inserting the flight plan ourselves. The beauty with the CRJ is that it's a regional jet and therefore the routes aren't particularly long most of the time anyway so by doing it ourselves, it's a fantastic way to learn the systems and get the most out of the aircraft too. I hope you enjoy Episode 1 of 3 - be sure to watch the rest too as we make our way over to Rotterdam with 2 more episodes, and of course, remember to click Like and Subscribe! Thanks for watching!
