A super healthy and nutritious recipe to kickstart the month of December — Date Balls! How pretty do they look! These date balls are perfectly balanced in terms of sweetness and texture. The roasted nuts provide a lovely crunch. It’s easy, healthy, with no added sugar, you have got to try this :)

Christmas Sweets by Florency Dias

Ingredients:
75 grams Cashew nuts
75 grams Almonds
50 grams Pistachios
250 grams Seedless Dates

Play around with the quantities and types of nuts. If you like, experiment with other available nuts (example walnuts and hazelnuts). But try not to make it too less in comparison with the quantity of dates or you may end up with a very sticky mix. Too many nuts and it won’t bind so well.

If you’re using dates that seem dry, soak them in some warm water till softened, then drain and grind to a paste. If the dates are already moist you may or may not need to add a few spoons of (boiled) water while grinding. The process of grinding is only to break up the dates and sort of make it all a sticky mass. Don’t expect a smooth paste.
