Butter Chicken originates from North India and happens to be on the list of every food lover I've come across.

We've been making butter chicken in my family this way for a very long time now and trust me it is really the best. The smokey flavour just brings out the best in this dish. The kids come back with clean plates and its always, 'Can I have some more?'

Best served with Naan, Parathas or Rotis.

You'll need:


To marinate-

3 Chicken Breasts
1 1/2 Tbsp Ginger Garlic paste
1 tsp Chilli powder
Salt

To smoke the Chicken

A couple of charcoal pieces
A few drops of oil
Small piece of foil
A lid to cover

To Cook

2 Tbsp Butter (1 Tbsp for frying + 1 Tbsp for cooking with the sieved mixture)
Oil
1 Onion chopped
3 Tomatoes chopped
2 Garlic cloves chopped
15-20 Halved Cashew nuts
2 Tbsp Sugar
Salt
2 tsp Chilli powder
1 tsp Garam masala powder
2 cups Water
1/4 cup Cream
