Nominated Licensees In Charge under the new Property Industry Reforms

To provide a smooth transition for businesses, there are some transitional arrangements that NSW Fair Trading will apply. If you an agent who is currently the nominated LIC for a corporation, or an operator of a small business or sole trader who operates under an individual licence – you are required to advice Fair Trading of your trading name, and who is the nominated licensee-in-charge of the overall business. This also includes where one company has multiple branches, the company needs to nominate who is the overall licensee-in-charge of the company. This advice needs to be forwarded to Fair Trading by 1 March 2020 via email on [email protected].
