In this video you can enjoy the cab ride - train driver's view from la Spezia to Savona part 2 that will lead us from the town Recco to Savona in Italy, Liguria in 4K/60 frames per second.
The railway runs along the Ligurian coast passing various tunnels and viaducts and offers wonderful views.
The line from Recco to Genoa is a part of the Genoa–Pisa railway that runs along the Ligurian coast from Genoa to Pisa through the Riviera di Levante and the Versilia. It passes through the cities of La Spezia, Carrara and Massa. South of Pisa the Pisa–Rome line continues along the Tyrrhenian coast to Rome. The line is double track and is fully electrified at 3,000 V DC. Passenger traffic is managed by Trenitalia.
The part of the line from Genoa to Savona is a part of Genova-Ventimiglia railway that runs along the coast of the Liguria region of Italy. It was opened as a single track line between Genova and Savona in 1868.
The line is being doubled mainly by building an entirely new double track line parallel to the existing railway, because the line often runs through towns where there is no space for a second track. The new line also increases the maximum speed from 100 to 180 km/h.
