Classdojo is the best tool to guarantee student engagement and motivation. I have been a Classdojo mentor for over 12 years and I use it in every class. It will form part of your overall classroom management strategy and if you are a new teacher with difficult classes with poor behaviour, then I highly recommend it. The name of the game is positive reinforcement.
When I first started teaching I really struggled to control classes by myself. I put together lots of reward systems that did not really motivate my students and as a result they did not learn and I did not enjoy teaching. The day I discovered Classdojo changed my teaching style forever, and for the better.
