Without a shadow of a doubt, Shayan Sarkesh is the first Iranian/Persian Rapper who founded Rap Farsi or Persian Rap in August 2000.
در اوایل دهۀ هشتاد شایان گروه موسیقی واژخنیا را تاسیس کرد. واژۀ واژخنیا از دو بخش «واژه» و «خنیا» تشکیل شده، که بنابر گفتۀ خود شایان برگردان کلمه «رپ» به فارسی است. بدین سان که واژخنیا همان خنیای واژه ها یا موسیقی کلمات می‌باشد. گروه واژخنیا افزون بر خود شایان، شامل هوشنگ، کیومرس، و شاهپور بوده و تا کنون به فعالیت مشغول است.

In the early 2000s, Shayan founded the music band Vajkhonya. “Vajkhonya” consists of the two words “vaj” and “khonya,” which in Persian mean “word” and “music” respectively. Accordingly, Vajkhonya is actually “the music of words.” Made up of four members namely Shayan himself, Houshang, Qmars, and Shapoor, the gangster rap band Vajkhonya is actively producing songs in the music industry to this day as of 2023.

آنگونه که به نظر می رسد، شایان در سالهای سکوت بیکار ننشسته و همواره درصدد عملی ساختن نقشه ای عظیم بوده است. موسس رپ فارس همچون ماری پوست انداخته و از زیر آن پوست اژدهایی سه سر با قدرت و خلاقیت یکتا پدیدار شده است. شایان نه تنها ترانه‌سرایی کرده و به سبک های گوناگون رپخوانی مینماید، بلکه آهنگهای رپ خود را نیز خود ساخته و یک بسته کامل از بمبی ساعتی در اختیار طرفداران قرار می دهد.

Apparently, Shayan hasn’t been idle during his silent years and has been pursuing a great plan to surprise his hardcore fans. The founder of Persian Rap has shed its skin like a snake to emerge as a massive three-headed dragon, who not only writes lyrics and sings rap verses but also produces his own music.

مژده اینکه شایان هم اکنون با نام «شایان سرکش» به میدان خنیا بازگشته است. شب یلدای ۱۴۰۱ شبی بود که شایان و هوشنگ آهنگ «تراژدی جنایی» را با آهنگسازی خود شایان بیرون دادند. شایان سرکش در این آهنگ در دفاع از مردم ستم کشیده ایران به هر دو زبان انگلیسی و فارسی رپ می‌کند. تراژدی جنایی تک‌آهنگی از آلبومی است که قرار است به زودی خیابان‌ها را راه بیندازد.

Great news for the good old fans! Shayan has made a comeback to the industry under the alias “Sarkesh,” which means “outlaw” or “unruly” in the Farsi language. On Christmas Eve 2022, Shayan Sarkesh and Houshang released a single named “Criminal Tragedy,” in which Shayan raps in both Persian and English languages. The single is said to be a track from their upcoming new album.

و اینک آهنگ جدید رپ «دراپ دد» یا «بیفت زمین» توسط شایان سرکش و هوشنگ. در این آهنگ شایان سرکش خود را «انوش» معرفی می‌کند که مخفف «انوشزاد» به معنای «نامیرا» است. آیا شایان واژخنیا نامیرا شده است؟
