Look up tables, also known as LUTs, provide an excellent way of color correcting log footage back to a proper color space (e.g. Rec 709), and can also add unique stylized looks for color grading otherwise. Therefore, if you're a Final Cut Pro X (FCPX) user, how can you install custom LUTs to use within Final Cut, and how can you remove these LUTs when you no longer need them?
In this Final Cut Pro tutorial, I'll go through the different ways you can both install and remove custom LUTs from Final Cut Pro, and what the important differences are between these methods, and why you might use one over the other. I'll also provide a unique trick within macOS and Finder that you can utilize to install and remove LUTs in bulk from Final Cut without even needing to open FCPX itself!
