The time has come for
The time has come for the new chief justice to take reins from Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng. The Judicial Service Commission will interview President Cyril Ramaphosa's four front-runners for incoming Chief Justice over five days, the interviews are set to begin from the 1st of February 2022. This will be the first time the JSC will hold interviews with more than one candidate forwarded by the President to hold the office of top judge in the country.
The interview process comes after President Ramaphosa invited the public to forward names and appointed an advisory panel to counsel him.
Amongst the interview will be the now Acting Chief Justice Raymond Zondo, Gauteng Judge President Dunstan Mlambo, Appeals Court President Mandisa Maya, and Constitutional Court Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga.
