The Old Fashioned is as
The Old Fashioned is as classic as cocktails come. Served all over the world, it’s as popular now as it was more than a century ago. For this recipe we used Flor De Caña 7 Gran Reserva which has a palate of honey and dark chocolate, with a long and smooth finish which works perfectly in this simple cocktail.
Flor De Caña is the worlds first spirit to be carbon neutral & fair trade certified. A family owned business that is 130 years old, Flor de Caña distillery is located at the base of the San Cristóbal volcano, the tallest and most active volcano in Nicaragua. The fertility of its surrounding lands, the enriched water and the hot volcanic climate proved to be instrumental in forging the rum’s unique and smooth flavour.
INGREDIENTS:
🥃 60ml Flor De Caña rum
🍯 5ml Demerara syrup
🍊 Orange bitters
🍫 Chocolate bitters
🍊 Orange for garnish
METHOD:
1. Add your sugar syrup, both bitters, and rum to the mixing glass.
2. Put cubed ice in the mixing glass, and stir it down for 2 minutes.
3. Fill your rocks glass with cubed ice, and strain over the ice.
4. Peel a twist off your orange, rub around the rim, and pop it in the glass.
5. Serve & Enjoy!
