Anytime you change the radiator, change the thermostat, drain your coolant, change water pump, or do an engine swap, you need to clear the radiator of air bubbles. This technique is called burping the radiator.
This will also fix your heater. If your heater is not blowing hot air, it is usually because there is a bubble in the system. Clearing the bubble will help the heat get back inside your car.
