Career Paths and Leadership Opportunities in Cybersecurity
Barsha Karki
Sales Engineering Manager
Zscaler Inc.
Barsha has close to 15 years of experience in the IT Industry with skills and expertise across Telecommunications Networks, Data Center, Data Management Solutions and Cyber Security. In her current role, she leads a team of pre-sales engineers across Asia Pacific Japan for Zscaler. Barsha also is an advocate for STEM careers and plays active role in mentoring and encouraging female participation in the field of Engineering and IT. Barsha is also an active member of Women in Engineering and IT (WiEIT) at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) where she graduated from with a Master of Engineering Studies and a Master of Engineering Management. She is part of the UTS WiEIT Advisory group to help make the program more effective for students, sustainable for WiEIT team and impactful for industry participants. She has participated in school outreach programs to speak with and encourage high school female students to consider taking on STEM as part of their curriculum. Since 2013, she’s mentored a female university student each year as part of Lucy Mentoring program.
