Epiphone "Inspired by Gibson" ES-339 (Has Epiphone Fixed Their Quality Issues?)

I loved my old Epiphone Dot, and with them rebranding several of their higher-end guitars as a new "Inspired by Gibson" line; I figured I should pick one up and check it out. I grabbed an ES-339 in Pelham blue and wanted to share my thoughts on if this is a new era for Epiphone or not.
