Today we're gonna make a super calming and moisturizing body butter using exotic butters and flower infused oil.

You can make this for yourself or as DIY gifts for friends and family.

So let's go ahead and get started. First we're gonna start off with the infused oil and for this we'll need 2 cups of dry chamomile flowers, 4 to 6 ounces of the oil of your choice, but apricot or jojoba typically work best, since they don't have a detectable scent. And we'll also need a mason jar where the oil and the flowers will be infused.

So add all the chamomile flowers to the jar and pour the oil over them you want it to be enough to cover the flowers and still have one to two inches of oil at the bottom of the jar, so add more as you see needed.

Now using a double boiler system, let the oil and the flowers infuse slowly on low heat for approximately four hours. Occasionally you want to gently shake the jar or stir the flowers in the oil.

After four hours you can filter the flowers out using a strainer, and if you want to get all the tiny little specks you can add a coffee filter on top of the strainer as well

And now that we have the infused oil, we can start making the body butter.

So for the body butter we'll need 2 ounces of mango butter, 1 ounce of kokum butter, and 3 ounces of the infused oil.

Using a double boiler, slowly melt the mango and the kokum butter. Once the butters are completely melted, remove it from the heat and add in the infused oil. And at this one you can add an essential oil of your choice. You can use chamomile to stay consistent with the scent or you can use another flower essential oil like lavender if you'd like. And you won't need very much because the carrier oil already has the scent from the flowers

Now give it a quick whip - just two to three minutes and then cover it and place it in the fridge so it can solidify. You don't want it to be hard as a rock - just a little bit firm. So once it reaches that point remove it from the fridge and now you can whip the mixture.

Once the mixture is nice and fluffy, the body butter is done. You can squeeze it into a jar using a plastic bag or simply scoop it in.

And now you have a wonderfully creamy and relaxing chamomile infused body butter.
