Fly Fishing the Lower Ngongotahā Stream in 4K

The Rotorua Excursions Series 1 Episode 14

I decided I wanted to check out the lower part of this river, as the top part is closed at the moment.
I landed a number of trout, lost a few too. The trout are very active, aggressive and the stream is very challenging. But great fun.

Today I went for a walk along The ngonga , while trying to land a trout myself . This video captures that day , forever . I had my euro rod and my indicator rod with me.

Catch and release , lovely well conditioned trout , released to fight another day .

I love coming down to Rotorua

I was using jelly glo bugs today, no slushies as river was clear . Primal brand , weight 3 euro fly rod  10.4 ft is what I use .
