DEAD MALL: Stratford Square Mall - Bloomingdale, IL *CLOSED*. Enjoy a look through this 1.3 million square foot mall in Chicago's Northwestern suburb of Bloomingdale. Opened March 9, 1981, this mall served the area for 43 years until the owner, Namdar, put the final nail in the coffin for this place causing the town of Bloomingdale to sue them to acquire the mall property for redevelopment. Here is a tour of the mall 2 weeks prior to closing for good on April 21, 2024.
