The adhan, the Islamic call to prayer, is one of the most distinguishable elements of Islamic culture. The UK based non-profit organisation Al Isharah took the initiative to translate and create the adhan into British Sign Language (BSL). The Play Studio was asked to produce this historic work into a video for all Deaf people to benefit from.
In Ramadan 2011, Al Isharah partnered with Mercy Mission to broadcast the first televised adhan created for the UK's Deaf Muslim Community.
