Shave and a Haircut while chasing a train over 4 subdivisions W&LE tunnelmotors 431

Wheeling & Lake Erie Railway train 431 with WE 5411 and 5413 head west through Ohio. The 431 is the W&LE Brewster to IORY Lima interchange train. We were on i71 heading south when we heard the crew getting their track warrant west from Creston Ohio where they must have met an eastbound train. We were almost to Lodi so it was really fortuitous for us because we were also heading to Lima! Within minutes we were set up by the depot in Lodi and the train was approaching our cameras. Lodi is on the Brewster Subdivision and we would follow the train to Spencer where they would be slowing to come off that sub and head onto the Carey Sub. So we filmed them crossing Rt 162 east and west of Spencer. The Carey sub between Spencer and New London is pretty short to get ahead of a train doing 40 so we just beat them to NL. After a brief wait on a CSX eastbound they hopped onto the CSX Shortline Sub. Track speed on this line is 60 and they probably did close to it. Ohio roads are generally N/S and E/W grids and this line goes diagonal S/W so it was a bear to get ahead. I got a crappy handheld shot at Shelby after the crossed onto the Greenwich Sub. I put that shot at the end as bonus footage since the frame rate got bumped low on the camera. Our last scenes were in Crestline as the train comes onto the Ft Wayne line. I'm not really sure what NS calls this sub or district. CSX handles grain trains for the elevator here as well as unit trains interchange with the CF&E. NS owns the track east of the diamond.
