Our search for Beijing's most inspiring architecture takes us to the Yinshan Pagodas. Just north of Changping district, these towers are located in a scenic forest park at the base of the so-called silver mountains, where visitors can also climb to Foding Peak and explore the sights of ancient Buddhism in Beijing.
The Pagodas serve as the tombs of Buddhist monks who served the Fahua temple in the 1100s. Since the Ming Dynasty, they have been called a can't-miss sight of the capital—and that hasn't changed!
