Join me as we explore Ultrasound Doppler artifacts including aliasing, spectral broadening, motion (flash) artifact, cross talk (mirror image), twinkle artifact, noise, color bleed and improper Doppler angle. Video 6 of 6 in Sonography Minutes' Ultrasound Artifacts Series. Doppler artifacts are Ultrasound artifacts that appear when using Color, Power or Spectral Doppler and can be due to pathology, anatomical vessel variations, exceeding equipment limitations, inability to achieve proper Doppler angles, patient motion or improper machine settings. This topic is found on the ARDMS Breast Ultrasound Registry exam and the Ultrasound Physics exam.
