Layout for Posts and Rim Joists

So - Ya Wanna Build  a Deck!!!

You'll need some posts and what's called Rim Joists.  I call them 'Ribbon' joists a lot in this video, but be not fooled, they are, in fact, rim joists.  

The rim joists are the part of the supporting framework for any building and goes around the peripheral of the structure.  They are important and allow for joist attachment as you'll see in an upcoming video.

The posts are very important as well, since they support the deck structure.  The trick here is to locate the posts so that the deck is square, as a structure, and square to the existing build as well.  No easy feat for us mere mortals!!!
