Welcome to Marijampolė, Lithuanian city
Welcome to Marijampolė, Lithuanian city perfect for a stop while driving through Via Baltica highway. Capital of historical Suvalkija region Marijampolė greets its visitors with an amazing synergy of old and new. City's old town is decorated with contemporary art murals from the yearly international festival Malonny. At the same time the city is famous for its Marian monastery and the basilica of St. Michael the archangel. What a contrast 😁
Outside the city there also is some beautiful nature at Žuvintas Biosphere Reserve, with 2 cognitive trails available. 🦅🦉🌳
Unfortunately I've lost most of the footage from Bukta trail, but I promise you that it's awesome place for a walk for nature lovers! 🌳🌲🌳
