So what if it doesn't hit like a ton of bricks? It only weighs 5.2 lbs and carries 30 rds of reliable firepower. It is my favorite recreational semi-auto rifle. This light weight and overall reliability also made it a troop favorite which took it to every major battle in several wars. There the M1 Carbine served surprisingly well despite its low power round. Hollywood coverage more or less accurately portrays this battle record. This discussion is the foundation of this entertaining and in depth look at what is still a viable weapon, all these years later. The POU observations will connect with you if you're a M1 owner. It's fast into action, easy to hold up, has low recoil. That opens up possibilities. Mrs Nutnfancy loves shooting this gun and hits great with it. Hmmmm.
