This sponge cake is super easy to make and to speed things up, I'm using a blender instead of a whisk or electric mixer. You can skip the apples if you want to make a classic sponge cake.

Making a sponge cake in a Rice Cooker is as fast as making it in an oven and it it's faster to clean after because the batter doesn't get stuck in the rice cooker Teflon bowl.

--INSTRUCTIONS--

-Ingredients-

- 1 Apple
- 3 eggs
- 3 dl powdered sugar (I changed to 2 dl white sugar and 1 dl brown sugar)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla sugar or some vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoon baking powder (or baking soda or dry yeast)
- 3 dl wheat flour (or any other flour you prefer)
- 75 g butter (or cooking oil)
- 1 dl water

-Procedure-

1. Melt the butter

2. Peel and cut apple into small pieces

3. Put all ingredients except the apple into the blender

4. Blend for a couple of seconds

5. Put the apple pieces in the bottom of the rice cooker

6. Add one tablespoon of sugar on top of the apple

7. Pour the batter on top of the apple in the rice cooker

8. Close the lid and let it bake for 40 minutes

9. Put the cake upside down on a plate.

10. Let the sponge cake cool for a couple of minutes
