hypoglossal nerve

Hypoglossal nerve is the cranial nerve XII. It is  motor that supplies all muscles of tongue except palatoglossus which is supplied by vagus.
It is joined by C1 that supplies infrahyoidand geniohyoid muscles.
Injury of hypoglossal nerve leads to difficult speaking and swallowing as well as deviation of the tongue to the same side.
