The new E-Class All-Terrain: at a glance
Following the launch of the Sedan, the All-Terrain rounds off the E-Class family in the U.S. as the second model.

The E-Class All-Terrain is equipped standard with AIRMATIC single-chamber air suspension. This provides more ground clearance and continuously adjustable damping for the compression and rebound stages of the shock absorbers.

Luggage capacity can be expanded from 21.7 to 64.6 cu-ft.

Rear passengers benefit from the 0.87-inch longer wheelbase (116.6 inches) and 59.8 inches of elbowroom – an increase of 1 inch.
With the optional illuminated grille surround, two optical fiber bundles positioned behind the chrome strips receive light from LED modules.

The screen graphics can be customized with two display styles (Classic and Sport) and three modes (Navigation, Assistance, Service). With the new MBUX, the main display icons are now simpler and color-coded to resemble smartphone tiles.

The communication module with 5G technology standard supports much faster data transfer rates than LTE/UMTS.

The digital vehicle key1 lets drivers use an iPhone or Apple Watch as a vehicle key. After pairing a compatible device2 paired with the vehicle through Mercedes me connect, the device can be used to start, unlock and lock the E-Class All-Terrain. Key sharing is also possible. The digital key can be shared with up to 16 people. The E-Class All-Terrain can be pre-equipped for the digital key as part of the KEYLESS GO comfort package3.

The privacy mode of the front passenger screen works in two stages: first, the seat occupancy recognition system registers whether the front passenger seat is occupied. If it is occupied, the passenger can use the touchscreen functionality via MBUX. If the front passenger seat is not occupied, the passenger display becomes a digital decorative feature.

With cd values from 0.284, the new E-Class All-Terrain is a top performer in its segment. The frontal area A, at 25.7 ft2, is somewhat larger than that of the previous model (25.5 ft2).

With standard 4MATIC all-wheel drive, AIRMATIC air suspension (also standard) and an Off-Road driving program, the new E-Class All-Terrain makes easy work of light terrain, such as dirt or gravel roads. The off-road driving experience is further enhanced by the off-road display and the “transparent hood” – part of the 360° camera. The vehicle has an unmistakably rugged look. Off-road design elements include the unique front grille, special bumpers, chrome front and rear underride guard, and dark grey wheel arch cladding. 18-inch wheels are fitted standard, while 19- and 20-inch wheels are optionally available. The new E-Class All-Terrain celebrates its world premiere at IAA Mobility in Munich, completing the Mercedes-Benz E-Class family. It arrives at U.S. dealerships in 2024.

Compared to the E-Class Sedan, the All-Terrain model is larger in terms of width (75 inches) and height (58.9 inches). It is nearly the same length as the sedan at 195 inches overall. 18-inch wheels are fitted standard, while 19- and 20-inch wheels are optionally available.

The new E-Class All-Terrain is 1.1 inches wider than the previous model. This makes journeys even more comfortable for passengers in the second row, who now have 59.8 inches of elbow room. The wheelbase has increased by 0.87 inch to 116.6 inches, which creates more kneeroom and legroom for second row occupants.

The vehicle’s sporty back end conceals 21.7 to 64.6 cu-ft of luggage capacity. The second row seat backs can be folded down with a 40:20:40 split. They are operated with two push buttons on the left and right side of the rear seat backrest. The standard EASY PACK tailgate opens and closes conveniently at the push of a button using the key fob, switch in the driver’s door, or the unlocking handle on the tailgate itself. The retractable luggage cover and dividing net have a two-piece design and are also fitted standard.

The most eye-catching feature of the striking front end is the twin-louver grille in Iridium Silver with the Mercedes-Benz Star integrated in the center and a Mercedes-Benz pattern. The distinctive front bumper, as well as the chrome underride guard panel also contribute to the rugged appearance.

Distinctive dark grey wheel arch cladding emphasizes the vehicle’s All-Terrain character. The same applies to the side sills, which have a chrome strip.
At the rear, the E-Class All-Terrain boasts a unique bumper with a chrome simulated underride guard.
