As I am spending time
As I am spending time in Maine this fall (October 2020) we had an opportunity to provide an update and review of the fire truck restoration process on this International Loadstar 1700.

As the title suggests, some people think I am a little strange. And for sure I like getting out and about! That is why I am the Odd Man Out.
These videos and the associated web page (OddMan-Out.com) are devoted to sharing the activities I am engaging in. I hope you find it fun, educational, and (Maybe?) occasionally humorous.
This information is devoted to being active. I have been looking forward to being retired for a while now. I have had good jobs throughout my entire career as a banker, and have enjoyed the work and the people. But it has really cut into my free time! Now that I am able to spend more time doing the things I like, I thought I would share.
I am trying to spend my time camping (or Overlanding to some of you), boating, and traveling.....and trying to do it on the cheap. I have structured my life and my expenses in a way that I think I can live on my social security, without having to dip into savings. That is the goal, anyway.
The title doesn't capture my desire to live forever. In pursuit of that goal, I try to include significant exercise as part of my activities. Personally, I have become convinced that exercise is the key to a long and healthy life.
As with all things, I live for the highlights. I spend hours and hours driving, preparing, cleaning up, and doing the activities. Much of that is not exciting! But I hope to bring you the fun, humorous, and interesting parts.

This video and all the pictures were taken on an Olympus TG-6. I have received no compensation or any support of any kind from Olympus. I have used the last several iterations of this camera because I like it. You can see from the videos that I really like stills, and this camera works well for me to take both stills and video. I film all videos in 1080p at 60 frames per second. The camera is nice because I can take it underwater and into poor conditions. https://www.getolympus.com/us/en/toug...
