In This Video We Tackle The Complete History of Power Creep In OSRS. For Runescape's longterm success a certain level of power creep is necessary. But how do you strike a good balance? When a new piece of armor or weapon comes into the game it have to either fill a niche that isn't filled, or be better than what we currently have.
Even if an armor is a mid game armor, it would be replacing other gear that the player would have used instead.
I personally think Jagex has done a great job ensuring that the power creep in OSRS has been kept to a minimum. They keep new Best in slot gear for OSRS coming in slowly, but also have a ton of niche options for different scenarios as well.
