Vicki Glenn had commented some very helpful information but I was not able to locate the comment so I am also putting it here: "I found a manual online that shows a special strap wrench that is used to remove the agitator on these models. http://members.msaworld.com/wp-conten.... Here is the part# WH05X25382." This is very helpful and wish I knew about this and had this at the time that I worked on mine.

There was not much I could find online at all for this GE Washer Model# GTW460ASJ0WW in regards to removing the auger and agitator base at the time of making this video (January 11th 2018) The diagram that I finally found online after searching for a while was found here: https://www.apwagner.com/appliance/gt... You will need to click on the arrows until you see the diagram for the TUB & MOTOR the click on " CLICK TO VIEW DIAGRAM"
Before you get started, make sure to unplug the power cord and turn off the hot & cold water supply to the washer.
Tools Needed: Ratchet, Extension, 11mm Socket & a firm grip! I used an impact drill to remove the bolt & a rachet to put it back on.
Good luck on your repair. Hopefully this video will save you time, money and frustration. I know if I had come across a video like this, it would have made things so much easier and would have saved me some money. Please like this video and comment how your repair went.
