This video shows how a visual SLAM implementation using MATLAB computer vision toolbox and the Unreal engine (3D simulation environment). In the example a drone / UAV navigates through a city in the simulation environment. The example focuses on computing the orientation and position of the drone's stereo cameras. It also collects tridimensional points of the environment to form the map. The following are used in this example: imageviewset, worldpointset, ORB features, detectORBFeatures, disparitySGM, reconstructScene, and others. The example uses a Simulink model for the simulation. A MATLAB system block is used to implement the SLAM algorithm.
