As a Sahara Desert enthusiast, I recently had the opportunity to take a tour of the desert in Merzouga, Morocco. From the moment I arrived in the desert village, I was struck by the beauty and vastness of the Sahara.
My tour started with a camel ride through the desert, led by a local guide. The experience of riding a camel through the sand dunes was truly unique and allowed me to fully immerse myself in the landscape. The rhythmic sway of the camel, combined with the stunning vistas, created a sense of peace and tranquility that was truly unforgettable.
As the sun began to set, we stopped for a traditional Moroccan tea ceremony. The sky turned a deep shade of orange and red, creating a breathtaking scene that was truly awe-inspiring. I sipped my tea, surrounded by the beauty of the desert, and felt grateful for the opportunity to experience such a unique moment.
After the sun had set, we continued on to a traditional Berber camp, where we spent the night under the stars. I was struck by the hospitality of the local Berber population, who welcomed us into their camp and shared their culture and history with us. We learned about their nomadic lifestyle and saw their unique architecture and art.
The next morning, we woke up early to witness the sunrise over the desert. The beauty of the desert at sunrise was truly breathtaking and a perfect end to my tour.
