Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert REVIEW

[Apparently I forgot to edit out a few bits from the final video before uploading it - it's all fixed now though! Thanks Paolo for flagging this and apologies to anyone who had to watch me cough like an old man and stare at my notes in confusion :P]

The Italian book I mention in the video is I Malavoglia (The House by the Medlar Tree) by Giovanni Verga. It's the best!

I read Madame Bovary in Italian, on the assumption that it would be closer to the original French - so I cannot really advise on what English translation you should choose. The following affiliate links will lead to Penguin Classics editions, just because I've rarely been disappointed with those.
