David Nadien vs Leonid Kogan | Schumann/Kreisler - Fantasy in C, Op. 131

The art of David Nadien has relatively recently gained mainstream recognition, as he was unfortunately not promoted by major managements or recording labels. Many of his recordings were recorded live, which make them even more valuable allowing us to enjoy a raw, unedited performance. Leonid Kogan was one of the major figures in the Soviet Violin School, and comparing different approaches and interpretations from peers on opposite sides of the globe is insightful.
Both performed without the shoulder rest.
