The traditional bazaar or Timcheh Haj Ali Akbar will amaze any viewer. A market that is inspired by the traditional markets of Iranian cities and has a variety of decorations. Pay attention to the design details of this market. The ceilings of different parts of the bazaar are taken from each of the Iranian architectural works. Also, the design and role of the ceiling and walls, in which ancient and deep-rooted Iranian forms have been used, are all the work of young artists. But one of the most brilliant decorations of the traditional market is the use of wood industry. The doors of the bazaar booths are made of wood and with unique glasswork, and the reconstruction of the old sash has been achieved.
The structure of the traditional market, similar to the old markets of Iran, consists of two main and secondary rows perpendicular to each other, the intersection of which is called Charso. There are also two Sangabs, one in Charso and one at the northern entrance of the bazaar, which also uses traditional Iranian architecture.
The Hall of Mirrors and the pantry are two separate spaces in the heart of the traditional bazaar, which will be discussed in separate articles.
The shops inside the market are also in line with its traditional atmosphere. Exhibition and sale of exquisite carpets, exhibition of antique objects, exhibition and sale of handicrafts and some other shops, each of which is somehow related to the luxurious arts and Iranian lifestyle, constitute the shops of this market.
Timcheh Haj Ali Akbar is located on the west side of the G2 floor between Didar Garden and Jundishapur Library.
بازار سنتی یا تیمچه حاج علی‌اکبر، هر بیننده‌ای را متحیر می‌کند. بازاری که با الهام از بازارهای سنتی شهرهای ایران ساخته شده و انواع تزیینات در آن به کار گرفته شده است. به جزییات طراحی این بازار دقت کنید. سقف‌های نقاط مختلف بازار هر کدام از یکی از آثار معماری ایرانی برگرفته شده است. همچنین طرح و نقش سقف و دیوار که از اشکال دیرینه و ریشه‌دار ایرانی در آن‌ها استفاده شده است، همگی کار دست هنرمندان جوان است. اما از درخشان‌ترین تزیینات بازار سنتی به کارگیری صنعت چوب است. درهای غرفه‌های بازار از چوب و با شیشه‌کاری منحصربفرد ساخته شده و بازسازی ارسی‌های قدیمی را محقق کرده است.
ساختار بازار سنتی مشابه بازارهای قدیمی ایران، از دو راسته اصلی و فرعی عمود بر هم تشکیل شده که محل تلاقی آن چارسو نامیده می‌شود. همچنین دو سنگاب، یکی در چارسو و یکی در ورودی شمالی بازار قرار دارد که این عنصر نیز از معماری سنتی ایرانی بهره گرفته است.
تالار آیینه و شربتخانه دو فضای مجزا در دل بازار سنتی محسوب می‌شوند که در مقالات جداگانه به این دو فضا پرداخته خواهد شد.
فروشگاه‌های درون بازار نیز متناسب با فضای سنتی آن هستند. سرای نمایش و فروش فرش نفیس، سرای اشیاء آنتیک، سرای نمایش و فروش صنایع دستی و برخی دیگر از فروشگاه‌ها که هر کدام به نحوی با هنرهای فاخر و سبک زندگی ایرانی نسبت دارند، فروشگاه‌های این بازار را تشکیل می‌دهند.
تیمچه حاج علی‌اکبر در ضلع غربی طبقه G2 بین باغ دیدار و کتابخانه جندی‌شاپور قرار دارد.
