Course: The Reconstruction of Religious Thought in Islam

The Reconstruction of Religious Thought in Islam is a compilation of seven lectures delivered by Allama Muhammad Iqbal on Islamic philosophy which were published in 1930. These lectures were delivered by Iqbal in Madras, Hyderabad, and Aligarh.
International Iqbal Society in collaboration with The Lahore Arts Council has arranged a special course on The Reconstruction of Religious Thought in Islam, the magnum opus of Iqbal. This course comprises of ten weekly sessions which will be conducted by two authorities on this subject, Dr. Tahir Hameed Tanoli, and Mr. Sarosh Alamgir.
The first three sessions of this course will be introductory sessions in order to go through the preface and familiarize the participants with the terminologies used in this book. The rest of the seven sessions will be one session per lecture of this book.
Sessions 1-3: Terminologies
Session 4: Knowledge and Religious Experience
Session 5: The Philosophical Test of the Revelations of Religious Experience
Session 6: The Conception of God and the Meaning of Prayer
Session 7: The Human Ego – His Freedom and Immortality
Session 8: The Spirit of Muslim Culture
Session 9: The Principle of Movement in the Structure of Islam
Session 10: Is Religion Possible?
These courses are organized by the International Iqbal Society in Lahore.
