Major. PAROCKIA SWAMY
It is a great privilege and honor to introduce this dynamic personality, Major P Arockia Swamy. He was born to Capt. A. Philomin Raj and P. Philomina in Ahmed Nagar, Maharashtra in 1964. Traveled all over India for Studies and Sports as his father was in the Indian Army. He fought three wars in the 1961 Indo-China, 1965 Indo-Pakistan, and again 1971 Indo-Pakistan war.
He served in NCC for 20 Years. During his tenure, he trained and selected more than 800 Cadets, Out of which more than 400 cadets got seats in Medical, Engineering, Agriculture, and in various other colleges. He has experience in Service. 12 years in Granite Industry+25 years of Teaching.
He represented Karnataka and Goa Directorate at New Delhi in 2002 as Contingent Associate NCC Officer and led the Contingent of 108 Cadets to win All India Second Place.
He was invited to attend the official High Tea party at the President's Home and at the Chief of Army Staff House.
During his college days, he was selected to represent Karnataka and Goa Directorate at the New
Delhi Garrison Parade Ground way back in 1984 and stood All India First in Earl Robert and
Burdwan Trophy Rifle Shooting Competition.
He was instrumental in framing Tumkur University's BCA and BSC Syllabus. He was also Chairman of the Board of Examination in 2011 and the Board of Studies from 2009 to 2015, at Tumkur University.
He is also a BCCI Cricket Coach and a KSCA Qualified Cricket State Umpire and Scorer. He is a senior NCC Officer in the State and Cricket Match Official for Tumkur Zone.
At present, he is a teacher by profession holding an M.Phil. In computer application.
