It's here! The latest patch from Sony for the Playstation Portal - 3.0.1. and it's actually good! It was supposed to allow Portal users to play on their Portal using public WiFi, but in reality, that was just not the case. The Portal wouldn't display the QR code required if the public WiFi network used 5GHz WiFi (which is basically all public WiFi). The new 3.0.1 update fixes this! I've been out and tested the new update at a whole bunch of different places that offer public WiFi. I'm pleased to say, the Portal displayed the QR codes and connected to my Playstation 5 back at home. But is using the remote play on the Portal using public WiFi actually any good?
