In this episode, the defective series resistor of the cooling fan on the Mini R50 R52 R53 is replaced.
If the cooling fan does not start, the air conditioner often fails and no longer cools.
The temperature display goes into the red range, or even stops in the middle as if everything was ok?
Then the series resistor of the first cooling fan stage is usually defective. The second cooling stage still works, but only protects the car from critical overheating.
Nevertheless, the air conditioner shuts down because the temperature in the condenser is permanently too high and the system protects itself due to too high pressure.
