As the art of Santoor making faces decline, Ghulam Mohammad Zaz stands as a beacon of preservation and artistry.

His remarkable dedication has been recognized with the prestigious Padma Shri award, a testament to his unwavering commitment to this fading craft. But the story doesn't end there—meet Mohammed, a 9-year-old prodigy and the great-grandson of the legendary Ustaad Muhammad Abdullah Tibetbaqal, also known as the 'King of Santoor'. Mohammed represents the 4th generation of Santoor players in his family, ensuring that this beautiful art form lives on.

Let us dive into the world of Santoor, celebrating both the craftsmen and the artists who keep this ancient tradition alive.

The documentary titled "Resonance through Generations: The Last Santoor Maker and Young Maestro" is both filmed and scripted by Faisal Anjum. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Science and is nearing completion of a Master's in Mass Communication and Journalism from the University of Kashmir. Faisal Anjum was also the former Editor at Media Publication, a fortnightly magazine of the department.
